Basically a good tune for your present enviroment is in order. More heat, different air pressure may require backing off the timing in the problem areas to stop detonation. Traffic will raise the head temps more than normal for the present timing setting, so don't go nuts with the throttle if the engine is on fire. Air cooled engines all suffer this fate of not 100% tuned for all conditions since temps are unstable. Tune it for normal head temps in your area and in traffic expect the extra heat to cause detonation if you lay on it too heavy. If you tune it for traffic heat , it will be a dog everywhere else. Another plus for liquid cooled engines with having a stable temp for tuning. Air cooled, we can almost anticipate the onset of detonation, so we adapt, well some of us do.
