Default S&S 107 with 570 cam

After setting up my original plan for a 103 with 254e cams for my 96 Street Bob, I am not convinced about the possible numbers I will get. In other words, I want the most bang for the buck bore upgrade. So I found an indy who dragraces Harleys and can intstall the S&S 107 kit with 570 easy start cams for the same price the dealer does the 103 with SE 254E cams. Not planning on headwork (I know this is leaving a lot on the table), but looking for a reliable build. Has S&S worked out the oil problems some had with their 106 kits?

Can't find much sound clips for the 570 cam, but I want a nasty sounding bike.
Hope this cam with more cubes and added compression will give me that.

Bore your OEM cylinders and have a set of aftermarket pistons fitted; JE, CP or Wiseco. Before ordering pistons, contact the manufacturer and get the dome volume so you can run the CCP and corrected CP calcs for the 570 cam. Use a .030" head gasket, set squish between .030"-.035" and set CCP about 190. The 570 is a solid cam but there are others like the 585, 625 or Tman 590, 600SM to name a couple.

I have an S&S 107 engine, which came with a 585 cam. That's the starting point S&S uses, so well worth looking into!

We are currently building, 3, 107"ers with that .570 along with cylinder head work.
Long-proven good combination here.

How's the power down low? And what numbers could I expect without headwork?

remember to keep the compression down around 10.0-1.we also use a lot of the .570`s in our 107" kits (not too many,if any at all)with no headwork, but ide guesstimate around 100/110. lots more with headwork!!

Good/great snap off the bottom, and it'll hover at 100 hp and hover around 110 ft/lbs as Kirby has already mentioned.
A good set of heads can add a FAT 10/10 to those numbers.

Thank you both expert engine builders for answering my question. What would your cam choice be for a dyna? I would like the power down low but also a bit more top end. But most important is cam that gives me a nasty exhaust note.
