Default Will 80ci parts fit in a 74ci case?

I have a can't find giving up clunk in my 1976 74ci shovelhead engine.

I have found on Craigslist an 80ci full crank, connecting rods, pistons, cylinders, cam and*oil*pump.*

Will they fit in my cases or are 74ci and 80ci cases (lower) different?

Also, my engine barely fits height wise now. Will an 80ci cylinder be taller?

The crank and cyls will bolt on, but just check the clearence for the crankpin nut on the left case half, and without a doubt the proper cam to mate to the pinion gear.
You'll also want to check pinion shaft to race clearence and use the appropiate bearing "color".
You may also need a different cam cover.
No taller.
Your going to need specialty tools to pull the wheels into the left side, and also to set the bearing end play.
Scott

Wow! Thanks Scott!
I have rebuilt the bottom but did keep the crank assembled.
Had the cylinders bored by a local motorcycle race shop and they may have bored the front to cylinder wrong diameter. Quick wear and still had the clunk and run rough when heats up.

Lots of work and money and still clunk. Would be awesome to get the 80 to work.
Thank you so much!
