Default Which Cams for a 96"

I have a 2009 Ultra Classic 96" with Rinehart 4" slip-ons, stock headers with the cat removed. So far I've purchased a SEPST tuner, Screamin Eagle high flow intake / air cleaner setup. The last piece of the puzzle that still remains is the cam. I'm looking at the Andrews 48h, the Red Shift 525 and the Scremin Eagle 255. I'm leaning towards the Red Shift 525, 2nd choice would be the Andrews 48h. I would also consider the SE 255 but from the reading I've done online, the Red Shift 525 has a little more torque earlier. I usually ride solo and I'm looking to get it to perform as best as possible within the "stage 1" parameters. Don't want to go beyond cams and pushrods. Any suggestions, good or not will be appreciated.

IMHO 48s are just what a stage 1 96" tourer needs.

+1 and i believe they have more lift than the 525, and still pull stumps, if you know what i mean.

Default Survey Says......

Andrews 48H, you won't be disappointed...not only that but they are the cheapest on ebay $250.

I just installed redshift 527's and am very happy with them. Pulls about the same as the 255's except they continue to pull much longer than the 255's did. I would say based on my tach...that they pull very good from 2300 rpms to 5000 rpms. And they seems to run smoother. Sorry, No dyno chart to show ya'.

103, just chimed in because redshifts chart show compatible with stock 96... And there is very little info out there concerning experience with this cam...I guess because it is relatively new..

And just FYI, saw them on sale at Phatperformance for $222 incl free shipping. Generally can get another 5% off that when they run periodic specials, just take a look or email them. I got my Andrews 57's for $198

Yep, those 48's are good cams for a 96".
Just cannot compete with the low-ball e-bay pricing, but we do stock those and maaaaaaaany others.
