Safe Cleaner/Solvent for Wrinkle Black engine
Long story short... Fixing pry slot leak on 07 night Train that has a wrinkle black finish on the engine. I was skeptical about brake cleaner so I tested it on the bottom of the engine where there were already a few scratches. Took the black finish right off. I need to get this pry slot properly prepped before I try and seal it up with some wicking grade loctite and ultra black gasket maker. I have been using q tips and isopropyl alcohol for about an hour and I still get oil and dirt everytime I take out the q tip. I need the pressure and evaporation of brake cleaner without taking off the finish. Is there anything that meet my requirements? 3 different harley dealers are clueless. They use high end brake cleaner that's only sold in mass quantity.

We use mineral spirits here in a re-chargeable canister.

I have been trying 70% isopropyl alcohol with a syringe but the alcohol cracked the plastic in the syringe. I definitely need something that can blast in that hole cause every time I take the q tip out there is grit and oil on it.

I have tons of wd40 I could use. I am thinking of blasting it out with wd 40 then pouring the rubbing alcohol in to clean the wd40 residue. that residue was the only thing I was concerned about because I need it as clean as possible for the Loctite to wick in.
