Cool Crank Gear

One might run that cam with a +4 degree crank gear and enjoy a little more Tq. in the mid range , on a stock motor ...just be sure to check all clearance's ..but then that would be a 777 ,with longer duration ....now that might be something !!!???

Open Close Lift Duration TDC Lift

==================

Man,252/255 (IF THATS DEG DURATION @.05) is a ton of duration & overlap which is a bit too much cam for best perf if your motor has less then a minimum of 10.0 compression,it would work in that case but not optimal if comp is less then 10.0 at a minimum.

Boys love the convo and info but I ended up picking a different cam anyway. Thanks went with a recommendation from a local builder/buddy waiting to get the final tune numbers as we speak. Kuryakyn crusher 24d. Numbers should be somewhere like 104hp 108tq

Had a couple customers ask recently about this thread and the differences between the TW-999-6 and the TW-999-6A so I'm adding the info below from another relevant thread:

For reference the dyno chart below is a direct comparison of the Wood TW-999-6 and the TW-999-6A in the same motor on our 2015 Road Glide test bike. This motor is a 107" @ 10.75 compression with FM Level B CNC heads & FM E-Series 2/1 exhaust, tuned with Dynojet Power Vision. Note these runs were done a day apart.

Cyclerama .575 will push off more torque, as will a T-Man .625, and Wood 400.
No pork, without torque.

The school of Hard Knocks and money pissed away comes into play here. Speaking in a general sense, who knowingly wants to buy a set of cams that leaves them with a useless bike below 3000 rpms? I am guessing no one wants to volunteer for that.

The 777's suck on a stock 103. I would suspect the 999-6a is the same. If a cam has an optimum compression range, post it in the advertised specs and move on.

I'd like to see the 117" Harley drop in cylinders matched to the 999-6A cams in a CVO with headwork.
