I put the woods 999-6A cam in my 110 build with headwork. Was suggested by a bike builder so I went against my grain I've always been a Andrews guy.

Not happy with overall power of this build at all. So when I see guys posting these numbers I wonder will aanother cam make that much of a difference? I know the tune I have now could definitely be better as well. I've had allot of builds over the years and so far this HD 110 kit aint much bang for the buck.

And for anyone planning on a top end build this winter be spot on w compression for the cams being used Can make or break the build. Check the deck height too and factor that in as always.

Ive always used Jon Sachs for my head work and like I said earlier Andrews cams have also used HQ cams in my builds. This time I used a Woods Cam my first and different local guy for heads. As I've also stated there is no good Dyno guy close by so I setttled for a lousy fair tune which I'm sure could be much better.

I'm going out west to visit old Army buds and ride in February heard good things about Trask performance for dyno tuning. I'm not looking for numbers I just know this build is a dog. My 107 would eat this 110 for lunch. I agree with your statement Make sure all components match up. Then again being in my 60"s and still feeling the need for speeed.....lol My buds SS 111 Dyna eats my 110 for lunch dinner and dessert. Please excuse my grammar isn't my strong point.

Yea, Sachs is hard to beat,,, He definitely knows what plays well together...

'Had the SE Stage III Kit, 10.5-1, SE 259s, SEPT, stock 110 Heads, V&H PowerDuals, in the '09 SERG for a while, ran great, came on around 2600, ran all the way out, an honest 107 / 119...

'Would still be happy with it to this day except for a Lifter taking the motor out...

We work with a multitude of cams and engine combinations...........daily.
Dave's 110"/CR .575/our Stage II Heads in this thread is an exact example.
We had NEVER built this combo prior, and it is clearly plain to see that it "plays well togather".

Yes, deck height is always needed to be checked, good point Dave.

Here's a Q. Does anyone know if there's more heat coming off these steel liner cylinder sleeves compared to the stock cast iron ones?

Would the CR575 work in a 117? What would compression need to be set at for a easy going touring build.
