Mild tc88 build

OK guys, Its time to do tensioner shoes on my carb'd 05 Deuce. So while the shop has it apart, I figured I'd add a few budget minded things to wake it up a bit. The bike has 37000 miles and its safe to say all the motor internals are original. Let me know what yall think. Ive been researching for a few weeks and am still pretty much clueless as to compression and such. Looking for a reliable Daily Driver that I can have some fun with every now and then. Already have a screaming eagle air cleaner and v&h short shots. Here's what I have so far:
Cyco tensioner shoes with gasket set
Fueling Lifters
Baisley spring with plunger
Drag specialties high volume oil pump
Torrington cam bearings
Se204, ss509, or Andrews 48 can (still deciding on this)
maybe adjustable pushrods

Carbed bike so a bit more fuel might be required. You will need to make some jetting adjustments but stay away from Yost and/or Dynojet kits; the CV carb will perform well using OEM components.

I am kind of new to Engine work, my question is how would you bump the compression to 10:1 and all that is needed for higher lift cams is new springs?

Thanks for the help everyone. I wound up going with comp cams lifters because they were so much cheaper and ive read really good things about them. Oil pump was in good shape so the stock one stayed. Went with se204s for the cams and dear lord what a difference. Need to add some torque cones to the exhaust to try and gain even more torque.

204's in a bone-stock 88" would have you looking for more torque.

As for high lift cams, of course the springs must have enough "travel" so they don't coil bind at TDC lift. Depending on application, heavy duty springs may be required, i.e., a motor built for drag racing will need heavier springs to control valves at high rpms. Valve to piston and valve to valve clearances should be checked in applications for seriously high lift cams. Don't know the "pro" rule of thumb but for self, I check those clearances on cams with .600" lift or more.
