Default Quick question for cam re&re tool.

2004 Night Train

Replacing cams and cam support plate with updated SE hydraulic tensioner plate.
The kit comes with a new roller chain, drive and pinion sprockets for use with 2004s.
There are two different Jims sprocket locking tools #1285 (got this one) for1999-2005 OEM sprockets, and #994 for 2007 to present (+2006 Dynas).
Having to use the new style roller chain and sprockets, I'd have to use the #994 tool, yes?
Thanks

Yes, you'll have to use the #994 tool. With the bike in gear, you can step on the brake while loosening or tightening the bolts.
