Default Compatible motors for 2003 revtech 100

Just bought a bike with a revtech 100 motor I believe it's gen1. I did my research so I knew I was probably gonna eventually have some trouble with this motor. What I didn't know was it was going to be on the second day I rode it. The problem I have is it keeps blowing the oil cap off. Shoots it about 2 feet in the air sometimes. I've looked into it and I know it could be a few different things ranging in severity. What I would like to know is rather then dumping money into a motor that I will likely have more trouble with, what motors would compatible with the 2003 gen1 revtech 100. I want American made HD of s&s. easiest swap and best value preferred. Thanks in advance guys

It sounds like the oil level is too high, causing the increase in pressure to blow the cap out. Doesn't mean the motor is bad. And welcome from ny.

Edit: to answer your question, it's an evo right?

This is my first v twin so I'm not very familiar with the motors. The add did say something about Evo referring to the motor

No problem, there's a whole evo section to help you get it rolling. Post some pictures of the bike soon.

Overfull, or building crankcase pressure from poor engine condition.

good chance the lower end is full of oil from oil seeping past the check ball in pump.their should be a drain on the bottom of the motor, drain it
