I removed some baffles from the mufflers on my 113 evo and picked up 10 HP.. so I guess you could call it 0$ per hp.. If you want to add the cost of dyno time it was only 50 bucks, I guess it would be $5 per HP.
For the un-initiated, for each pony you're gonna gain, it's gonna' run you about $100 per. There have been numerous threads on this and it's getting relatively old. Not as old as what oil to use or where do you put the gas cap but pretty old all the same.

I've been here quite a few years and have never seen this either. At least not asked in this manner. Oldballs just likes to be pompous and self-righteous from the comments I've seen him make.
About $100 per HP sounds about right
Cam upgrade and install: $1000
Fat Cat: $500
Intake: $150
88 to 98 and headwork: $650
high compression pistons: $350
Total: $3650 to go from 67 HP to ? Haven't had it dyno tuned yet but expecting around 100 for a 30 to 35 HP gain.
You forgot the beer... Seriously it sounds like you have been there. I have and it's way cheaper to show up at the commercial docks and buy your fish. lol
I have always been told the $100 per HP rule on average builds. There comes a point of diminished returns as with everything. You start paying more and get less.
