You can remove material from the dome, but .180" is the minimum wall thickness on that.
Once machined it then needs to be cc'd.
Wonder why they'd suggest all that work, when a Wood 6, or 5-6, Andrews 57, S&S.570, CR.575, all thrive at 10.0-10.2 cr, which is at/near the squeeze on a flat top/107"/OE 85cc chamber/.040" gasket.

Knowing those guys, and Chad AKA Harley Tuner that used to work there would probably concur that it wasn't a preferred solution. At least that is not the conversation that I had with them when my bike had 48's in it sitting in front of them. I was planning on yanking them anyway but Bevan said "you aren't planning on using those cams are you".

Maybe the OP can shed some light on that one.

I'm considering the 107"/57h/torque heads/.040 gasket for my 96" dyna. I don't really run it out past 5k rpms much, really just looking for torque. So question is would the stock throttle body/fuel injectors be sufficient or would i need something bigger for this set-up?

Your OE t/body and injectors will work just fine.
I'd suggest at least, a 1.900" intake valve, and one of our Super Stock valve jobs on your heads.
Strong, snappy combo.
3 of those semi-similar builds going on here at this time.

George has Wiseco make custom pistons for him, i'm not sure of the wall thickness but if he said he he can take enough off to get he desired compression I would imagine there is more than enough left when he's done. When I was there he/we wouldn't use Woods cams. I'd imagine that hasn't changed.

If I was doing a souped up 107 I'd get the heads done with the smaller ports to keep velocity up and bump the comp. to 10.8 and install woods 999's, that thing should rock with a 58mm TB and a good 2-n-1 exhaust.

Seems such a waste of time and money to Mill the Pistons and detune when you can just add the woods 5-6 or the CR 575 and have a better all around performing machine... You obviously had questions and were looking for advice when you posted so I would listen to what the pro's have said.... But it is your money.......

HillSide took my 103 to 107, Andrews 57h's, head-work and a cleaned up stock throttle body. Runs like a champ!!

What kind of HP and Torque #'s did you end up with on the dyno with this setup from Hillside?
