Default Evo VOES Test

I don't have the tools to actually test my VOES right now. With the engine. at idle, I pulled the hose off the VOES and the idle goes UP. Does this mean my VOES is working?

When you pulled the hose off you created a vacuum leak which will speed up your idle. You need to find the ground wire, disconnect it and rev up to about 2000 rpm, and touch the ground wire to the frame. You should hear the engine change rpm, if not, your switch is bad. I use one on my 82 FLH.

I unplugged the wire harness that goes from the VOES to the bike harness and the RPM did change. This is supposed to mean the VOES IS working from what I have read on this site so far? Thanks for the feedback
