No! Many Harley's run 50K-100K miles on the original bore/rings. Needing rings after 6,000 miles is nonsense. Could it happen, yeah but rarely and something unusual would have to happen and ring replacement would be covered under the factory warranty if the 6,000 miles were rolled up in the first two years.

 

One blast of carb cleaner in the IAC solved everything. Thanks guys. Whew, that was easy!
