Default Gear drive cams for 96 into a 88 ?

I have a set of Crane gear drive cams for a 96, if I want to put them in my 88 do I just need the cam plate for a 96? can I run my 88 oil pump?
Any other changes?

I have se 203's in the bike right now and it runs great. The Crane 310 gear cams are almost identical, so I shouldn't need to retune.
If there isn't too much to change over and the crank is in spec, I'd like to get rid of the tensioners for good.

So, does that mean I can't use the 96" cams in my 88" ?
