Boy, I'll tell ya prices are a joke. How can they justify these crazy prices. These stroker kits are more than it would cost to do a big block chevy. 1500 to 2000 for a flywheel, and 6 to 8 hundred for some gear drive cams. I know you got to pay to play, I could see if the parts were one off. I like the post about some dude buys a se flywheel for a 1200 and sends it out to be welded and whatever for another 400. I think a fair price for a stroker flywheel should be 800 for the best one you could get. It is Monday and I am on my soapbox.

One could always wind-up like a friend of mine did a few years ago. The Buell had been in-the-market for 3-4 years and we decided we'd own us one. I don't even recall the models, but I think mine was like an S2 rated at 90HP out of the box as I recall. It was a fun bike and would lift the front wheel in 3rd gear. The friend had the more sporty model with the same engine, but he bit on a basket full of upgrades the local dealer talked him into. By the numbers...it was suppose to produce around 120HP as I recall.
Well...every now-and-again the dealer would get that "traveling dyno guy" to make a stop at the shop. John pulled his fire-breathing Buell up in line behind a stock EVO dresser. The dresser rolled-off at around 74HP as I recall. John pulled his Buell into the shoot and the results were.....54HP. $2500 worth of upgrade crap and a EVO bagger kicked his butt. John sold that bike shortly thereafter.
There can be no doubt that improvements made by competent wrenches and tuners will result in more power. But just bolting on parts don't always perform as advertised.

I sold my busa after my knees and hips started to get old..lol I bought my roadking off I guy I knew.. I love the bike. but I didnt know about the mm efi. and some other things. I dont think the frame or suspension could handle crazy hp, I think 125 or 130 hp would be plenty, low and mid range cams. I would not feel comfortable going 130 mph on the ol girl. I am going to do a step by step build with part numbers and the any info with dyno results. make it easy for someone to follow to make life easier. I am going from what crank to what carb to use,,yes carb..lol
