So I ordered my Screaming Eagle Hydraulic cam upgrade kit #25284-11 from Surdyke and received it today. I just got around to opening the box now I'am confused. The outside of the box has the white label that gives the info and correct part number for the kit, then i open the box and on top is the orange cam plate but the box underneath whichh has the rest of the parts says 25284-08. There is also a plastic bag with some bolts in it that says 25284-08 sub. Then I look at the oil pump and the number on there is 62400004. Now in some google searching I found a few places that say the the oil pump that comes in 25284-11 should have the number 62400001 on it. So I guess my question is is this kit jacked or do i have all the correct stuff that should be in 25284-11. Also the instructions in the box say 25284-11. Thanks for your help

 

The pump is PN 62400001; the 04 number is the casting number and that is the right pump. AFAIK, none of the "parts", i.e., tensioners, front roller chain, etc. have changed since '07 so you should be good to go. There should be a list of service parts included in the instructions that list all the parts; just check the parts against that list. You should be good to go with what you have.

 

You would think that they would put 62400001 on the pump rather than 62400004 to not put some people in a panic. lol thanks
