Possible 107 build
#11
98"; why stop at 95" when the additional 3 cubic inches are free? 98", good headwork, the right cams (TMan 590 or 600SM), good exhaust and tune will see 110HP/115TQ. If you want more than that, spend the $$ to split the cases and go big but if you take that leap, go BIG; don't stop at 107", go 117". You have to buy cylinders and pistons and machine cases to go to 107" which you would also have to do for a 117"; the added cost of the crank is the additional cost which is marginal since you will be spending $$ to true, balance and weld the 4" crank anyway. Hoban Brothers (AKA Darkhorse) will charge $500 to true balance and weld your 4" crank, or sell you their worked 4.375" crank also trued, balance and plugged with their rods for $1500. So at the end of the day, it will cost you about $1000 more to go 117" as it would to go 107" and believe me, there is a world of difference between the two.
