Default What size jets for Vance & Hines Straighshots?

So I got this bike in the summer and it's running lean (plugs are white, have to keep enricher out, etc.) because the VH pipes have no baffles. Just wondering what size jets you guys are running with the VH for the best tune?

Go up 15% initially on the main and put a 2mm shim under the needle, and a #48 idle jet....then see how it is from there.

How do they run without baffles??
The one time I tried pipes with no baffles it was a real pig taking off.

That's about it. Low end torque blows out the pipes because the tune is messed.

Just out of curiosity why don't you get some baffles for the pipes and put them in?

Just got some. I'm going to try that first rather than mess with the carb tune. I like the loud sound, but I think sooner or later I'm going to get a ticket.

Just installed the baffles. Bike runs 100% better. This is what was in there that I took out:

This is what I put back in:

Might as well not have anything with what was in there. The new ones are louder than stock, but they are a lot less than the original baffles. I liked the sound of the first ones, but I just didn't want to screw with the carb right now. We'll see how she goes like this for awhile. I might switch back later.

It would take more than carb work to make it run right without baffels.
I hear lolly pops work pretty good.
