Default 1995 Ultra Classic Electra Glide

Hey guys and gals, Mike here. I just bought a 95 evo, and was wondering if you guys have ever had any experience with a squeak/squealing noise coming from towards the front when you let off of the accelerator? I came from a 2009 Road King, and I'm loving the sound and performance of the evo. Thanks

Welcome to the nut house!!!!!

You might have to be a bit more specific about the squeak/squeal.
Does it sound high up or down low. Front end or motor?

You might try shaking various parts to see if you can get them to squeak.

Thanks, Texas. The noise sounds down low, and I noticed today that it seems to do it when I relax on the throttle. It goes away if I hold the throttle steady, or if I increase the throttle. The bike only has 32,000 miles and some change, and I think it may have set up for a while. I'm really loving this bike, and it's already my baby. I just need to get her running right.

exhaust pipe loose, or maybe loose heat shield. Check that your flange nuts are snug.

In your garage sit on the bike and push down on the handle bars.
Does it squeak then?
If so can you tell from where?

Along with what has been mentioned, sometimes the upper engine mount stabilizer 'rod ends' can squeak/chirp, more so at idle tho when she's moving around a bit more.

Definitely check all the motor mounts. The front lower mount has a tendency to rot due to oil leaking on it during oil/filter changes.

Thanks for all the input. I have no idea where or what some of the parts you guys are talking about are....I've been looking for a good diagram to show me, and if anyone has a link, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not incapable of working on it, just unfamiliar with where the stuff is. Thanks again, Mike
