The old school way is to use the old cam and tap it in and they wouldn't have done it if it destroyed the cam bearing.

^+1 on STA-BILŪ for storage but again, we're a little biased..

You were correct, I tapped it in last night with almost no effort. I didn't think it would go in that easy. How come we don't have to use sleeve retainer or anything with these bearings? Anyone ever get a spun cam bearing? Seems like it would destroy the engine case.

Yes they can spin. Did you make sure the rollers spin? They can get in a bind if they dont go in straight.

Good to go then. Be sure to give the rollers a heavy coat of assembly lube.

That's what I keep forgetting to buy. I'll pick some up. Cam should be arriving tomorrow.

You don't need it.
A little motor oil will work just fine.

I've never been very big on any "witch oil".. I don't have any problem with Stabil and do believe its the best option if you're going to use anything.. However, I prefer to completely fill my bikes with NON-Ethanol fuel.. Specifically the last tank of the season. Real gas should be fine for up to 6mo in my experience.. I wouldn't let this ethanol **** sit in my stuff for 1mo..
