Default exhausts.....

I just might go to a supertrapp, I currently have the LSR 2-1 which is pretty much a wide open pipe that is great for hp but not for tq. So I figure if I can tune the supertrapp to over 100 in torque I'll take it at that. Hopefully the hp won't drop off too much. If anything I'll have good documentation. I'll be able to show the difference between my original python III's , the LSR C-style and the supertrapps

Ah ... any scope to change the gear any place right down the line? It'll give you the extra ponies. What are your pulley sizes/ratio?

I'd find a Supertrapp to borrow before spending out on one.

Default total specs....

Ok, in a nut shell here's the shopping cart...

Woods w8 cam stock rockers and lifters
S&S adjustable push rods
HD heads w/Hillside stage II 1.9 int. 1.63 ex 84 cc
S&S 1.800" intake runner
.030 head gasket
Wiseco 11:1
RB Racing LSR 2-1 C style
S&S E carb w/tjet
Dyna 2000i ignition set to 31*
BDL Brute III extreme 45/68
32t on the trans 70t rear pulley 3.31 overall

Attached are the dyno runs all SAE corrected before build with w6 10.5:1(corrected 9.8) Wiseco and se ignition and python pipes.
After build, one run with pythons and the other RB pipes, 11:1(10.75corrected) Wiseco, same heads just cleaned up. 2000i ignition. Not sure what jets but does run a little rich, better than lean....,

What bothers me the most is that all I picked up with the RB pipes was 2 hp and no torque SAE corrected, I really expected a lot more over the pythons (staggered duals) the actual with the RB pipes was 96.8 hp 96.5 tq there is a slight difference on the sae correction percentages 97,98,99 in the 3 runs. Over all the pythons would have been descent but I wanted that Mark.

So I ask, based on all info do you think a supertrapp with a good tune would get me There?????
Thanx.....

You're looking for about 3%? Or 3 hp/ftlb?

Cheapest tweak has to be a 30T front ... I don't know anything about alternative gearing on the belt primary but I am sure they must do them.

Wait a minute and someone will come along and do the math for us, e.g. on a standard chain, swopping the compensator sprocket can give you way more than 10% more torque even.

H-D makes 30T front pulley, p/n 83595-11 I think, used on the 2011 TriGlide.

But Baker makes a better, lighter one for a few bucks more. They state 7% more torque. You can even go to a 29T and 10%. Beware though, you may need a new final belt depending on your swingarm adjustment.

Those are around 3.5 to 3.6 ratio which would increase the sportiness/acceleration of your ride.

A SuperTrapp can certainly deliver over 100/100 - my S&S 107" engine is in a much lower state of tune than yours, but gives me 101HP/107TQ. Whether one will do it for you I'm in no position to say - except as we have said before, if that is what Scott recommends, it is well worth the try. It can certainly deliver plenty of low/mid range torque and that is what in turn makes HP.

Numbers, numbers, numbers....it's how it rides that counts....and Mr GB is onto it....he has a lower state of actual tune but all the low/mid stomp that he needs...and that is the key to any tuning question...what do you want it to DO? Not how big are the numbers because its where the numbers are that really counts.
