Well you asked so here is my opinion

It looks as if a 1992 pro one catalog blew up on it. The carb, front end, and motor all look nice. I would paint it black or a solid color with small touches. And get rid of the wheels. That's the nice thing about bikes. You can make them anyway you want and it doesn't take much to make a drastic change on them. And maybe a fender swap

Well, I have to agree with that, it is definitely dated, no lie. But, I like the wheels as I don't think they are made anymore, the Ness pipes also obsolete. Those I would like to keep. I will probably extend the pipes 2' out to the rear. The wheels I will get repolished. An fl front fender will tame the chopper look a bit.
In terms of paint, yes, much less flash. No painting the frame this time. Powder coat in a color. My bud suggested a charcoal silver, then maybe black tins with charcoal matched panels on the tanks.
One thing I would like to do this time I would like to do again. I had an EG that I louvered. I had a guy stamp louvers in a metal strip. I put through front fender into a made fixture and cut the center out then welded the strip in. I never saw that trick copied.

There are timeless looks, and then there are dated looks. I'm with Jason.

Sorry, it's a good look, but not original.

It's possible it's common now but not when I did it in 95.
Also note that I am wanting to redo it, not keep it the same.

Polished up they would be nice. I kinda like the exhaust as it. It definitely has potential. I love the springer. How about a lot of black

IF it was mine I'd swap the bars for a set of apes. Then respray the tank in something matching the rest of the bike to save money for major funds going towards motor.

I paint, so I can shoot it cheap enough.
I found a thread here on how to rig up the heritage springer fender on this, which is the direction I was wanting g to go, with apes of course.
I also see a guy has a full set, of tins for a heritage springer on the bay, so will try to grab that stuff.

Sounds great. I figured save on paint change since your frame, swingarm, and all sorts of other things are painted that color.
