Is it time to refresh my mule?

Is it time to refresh my mule?
I have had this 90 fxsts for 23 years now. It's looked like this for 22.
I'm going to Sturgis this year. Wife is taking her red hot flsts. I was looking to find d a Grey Ghost to run. But then I thought, this one is due for a refresh.
If this was your'n, what would you do to it?
I'm thinking burnt orange candy, apes, FL style front fender, my signature frenched 39 ford taillight, SE heads, put the light bar on it, leather bags off a heritage springer, etc.

Talk to a tuner about tuning your engine, no need to buy SE heads when a specialist can work their magic on your current ones, also advise on a suitable cam. Talk to Scott at Hillside or someone similar. As for apes, I have never understood them, but paint I do! You could paint and line your wheels as well, but don't spoil it by doing too much! Joe at Powder Pro can advise on finsihes etc.

That yellow bagger w the sidecar in the background spun the cam bearing 2 a season back.
It had a hard time maintain 65 mph b4. I had him bore my jugs 20 over, threw in a mild cam, got the SE heads (which he looked over and was impressed with), and got the carb redone by killer carbs.
Fully loaded with 2 people and gear it will do 90 if need be.
The SE heads bump you up to 9.5/1 compression too.
House of harley in milwaukee had the best price at I think 800 for the pair.
I guess my point is reworking stock heads doesn't have a real good return on the investment.

The gunfighter seat has been replaced with a lapera solo seat.
I think the struts are f ugly too. I will explore how to get rid of them.

If they are done by a top tuning shop as part of a proven tuning package, with CR and cams matched, they will certainly give much better returns than SE heads IMHO. The MoCo SE tuning parts are fairly mild compared with what the aftermarket can achieve, hence my suggested contact above!

That reminded me that my brother in law has a fresh evo from the same guy. He worked his magic on the heads, and matched up cam and comp and intake. My bil has been trying to unload it on me, but he has never sweetened the price enough to get me to move on it. But it is a beast of a street motor.
I'm going to call the engine guy now and pick his brain on this evo.

Talked with the engine guy. The motor is an S&S sidewinder. All blue printed and documented. Polished cases, all new except reworked heads and cam cover.
98" stroker, 110 hp. Builder has documentation of parts and labor totaling 8900.
BIL is wanting 5k. Complete to carb and intake.
