Default Recommend a louder horn for me

I find myself using my horn more lately. A few days ago I was riding and an SUV passed another SUV on a two lane road coming towards me. I came to a complete stop and still came closer than I wanted to having a head on collision. I was blowing my horn and flashing my lights to no avail. I got the oncoming driver's attention by wildly waving the bird with my right hand.

I think I want a louder horn that will fit in the stock location and the stock chrome cover will still fit over.

My bike is a 1995 Heritage Softail Classic.

Anybody have recommendations?

Talk to traildog.
He took at standard air horn apart and made most of it fit under the cow bell.

Me I put a Mini beast on mine.

Fiamm (I think) "Freeway blaster"
130 Db, get the low tone.
Will fit under your cover with a little trim
of the outer "horn".
Have used these for 10 years and they
will wake up the cagers.

I have one of the min-beasts on my Glide, with a fancy cover. In the past I simply installed a pair of auto horns at the front of the bike. Depends if you want function, or fancy as well!

A horn on a motorcycle is the same thing as a mosquito when he gives the finger to a semi windshield when it and the windshield are about to meet. After you get a louder one, you may also start driving more defensive and that does not start with the horn.....

A 2010 stock Honda gold wing horn. It's actually two horns. Sounds like an old Cadillac. My buddy bout made me jump off my bike when he blew that thing. Put my rivvco air horns to shame. I bought a set and stuffed mine in my empty abs box. Crazy loud.
