Default No test ride tonite

Well I finally got the FatCat hung back on this afternoon after my tranny rebuild. Hit the starter button so I could take her for a test ride and...."click-click". Had the tender on it the past day, so I know it's not a low battery. Time to backtrack and see if I screwed up putting the bendix back together. Pshaw !

Before you take anything apart again I would make sure you are getting 12 volts to the starter (green wire).

If the battery was very low, no tender in the world will bring it up to a full charge. Maintenance only.

Ground strap behind the primary? I'm sure you'll figure it out without too much frustration

well, took the primary back off and the pinion gear was halfazz stuck; all I could see wrong was maybe I didn't have the tab on the retaining lockwasher curled up tight enough against a flat on the screw.

We'll see shortly if that was it.

we'll, that must have been what was hanging me up. With the primary back on, the bad boy fired right up. Almost forgot how sweet that stroker sounds (even if it was in a closed garage). While the primary was off, I went ahead and repaired a couple inner primary threads with Heli-coils. Shoulda done that earlier, but...you know how it goes sometimes. Anyway, will roll it off the table in the morning and see how the gearbox feels

It would have been a beautiful day for a ride. I have been working on a project but hopefully get the bike back together for the next warm shot.
