Default transporting batteries

The battery is toast as the internal damage has been done even if it tests good now.
FYI... even a small bike battery will gladly arc. through thin sheet metal if the conditions are right. You can arc.weld with the power in an average battery.
You are lucky it didnt turn your jeep into a big fireball.
Secure and insulate a battery while transporting it .
