I put a 165 in and its running greta on that. My still need to change the pilot though

 

I know this is an Olds thread, I'm doing the same to my '99 stc, got the EV27 in, new Torrington cam bearing. Bought jets for a CV carb, went to install em and found out my bikes got an SC Mikuni carb. 160 main. I'll get a bigger main, did you change the pilot or needle position? How's it working for you?

 

Ev27,hsr42, kept the same jets,rebuilt carb,reset air adjustment,k&n filter,e3 plugs burning great,pulls great,idle great 47 mpg happy man...maybe the op will chime in.

 

Sounds good, I'll take mine for a ride with the stock size jets and see how it goes. Do you remember what you set your air adjustment to by chance?

 

I followed instructions per Mikuni manual,it won't be the same for every bike. Different exhaust system and so on.
