If you use Baker's High Torque inner primary bearing, This race is no longer used. Getting it off the mainshaft is the tricky part.

If you're considering the Jim's bearing you should check the All ***** kit. It's way cheaper and I believe it comes with a slightly wider bearing so the load and speed rating are greater. I forget now but I think the all ***** is under $30 and the jims was 80+

I put a tad bit of heat to it and soaked it in some PB Blaster, then tapped on it with the bearing driver using a dead blow. It moved about 1/8", then wouldn't budge. I ended up going to a friend's house who has a press and just used that, popped right out. I guess my friend said that it may have been Loctited in from the factory, when I heated it it probably loosened up. Then when it cooled it probably locked it back in place which is why I couldn't get it to budge more with some moderate blows. I didn't want to wail on it though. Thanks for the replies.

Was you getting a whine when slowing with the bearing,I have narrowed my whine down to this bearing or the clutch hub bearing when slowing the whine stops if I pull in the clutch

Here`s a tip for removing this bearing (and a lot of other bearings):

Don`t try to drive the bearing out with a mallet/hammer etc. There is too much risk of breaking the cover.

Make up a puller, you will need two sockets or metal pipes, a long bolt or threaded rod, washers and nuts.

Pusher detail:
A socket or pipe, with an outside diameter slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the bearing.

Reaction detail:
A socket/pipe with an outside diameter slightly larger than the O. D. of the bearing, the bearing must be able to fit into this part without any binding, because when you push the bearing out of the case, it will end up inside this detail.

To push the bearing out of the cover:

Remove snap ring.

The pusher detail goes against the bearing.

The reaction detail will go over the opening on the other side of the cover (note: the reaction detail must rest squarely on the cover).

Use the bolt or threaded rod, nuts and washers to draw the two details toward each other.

The bearing will be pushed out of the case and into the larger detail of the tool.
