Default 1991 tour glide signal lights and cruise failure

At the end of last summer my signal lights quit working as well as my cruise control.I'm wondering if there is a specific fuse for them that perhaps has blown out.I checked the fuses under the side cover and they seem to be good. Any help you could give me with this would be deeply appreciated.
Prior to them both failing (at the same time) If I hit either of my turn signals the cruise control would disengage.

Sounds like shorted wire/wires to me. Maybe rubbed through and is touching bare metal somewhere? Trace wiring back from controls on your bars to the 1st connector. I have a 1991 EGC and with wiring of that age there is bound to be some wear and tear over the years. Do you have a service manual with a full set of schematics? That would be the 1st place I would start anyways.

Both things stopped at the same time? Yeah, start with a schematic. The factory shop manual is a must. Look for commonalities between the two. If I recall, there is some type of interface going to the speedo cable and then to both the cruise control and the turn signals? Not real sure, as I have neither a smart turn signal or cruise control.

Just a wild guess ... check to see if anything happens with the brake light when you hit the directional switches. If the brake light came on when you hit the directional it would cancel the cruise.

The reed switch in the speedometer would affect both systems...your biggest problem is going to be, even if you figure out what the problem is...nobody sells any parts to fix it...people were adapting 98 cruise to the older bikes because it still used the reed switch, but those parts are drying up too.

I have a 90 fltcu and my cruse did not work when I got it. After chasing my tail for months a friend told me to check all the lights even on the tour pack. I changed out all the bulbs and low and behold I had the cruse working. While it might not be as simple as a bulb out fix the turn signal problem before playing with the cruse. It might save you some time some cash and your sanity. Not sure how but a bulb out would shut down the cruse.

Check grounds too. I'd start with the ground between the fairing and the frame.
