I was discriminated against
So I was look around locally before I order online for a new tire. So called couple shops. Then called the dealer. Well they had one in stock and at the time best price. (Sorry this is the hard part) well the nice young man goes ........... Do you have someone to install it. I was like yea but if your price was good enough I'll just have yall do it. Then he come back with we don't take your kind here ( ok wasn't like this lol) but he said we don't do evo here. I was like even if I have the tire off he said yea. No evo here. I wanted to reach through the phone and beat some a$$. I heard of shops saying that but didn't believe it.

That tire changing is high tech. Poor training by a dealership costs them money. I have have considered doing just basic Evo or bike stuff in general if I can every make retirement.
I am fortunate and have a small satellite dealership and some old dudes that speak evo and shovel. They do not work on my bike, but can find and order parts, plus like to talk about the good ole days. They laugh when someone comes in for their "chrome" consultation,

If you brought the wheel in, doubt he'd even know it was off an EVO if you didn't tell him. Just take the tapered bearings out first... Difference between changing a tire on an EVO wheel and a twinky wheel - none. Or a sporty. Or my Yamaha dirt bike. They all fit on my changer the same way, tires come off and go back on the same way, Harley, Honda, whatever. I'm doing a Ural tire this spring, bet it's no different, either.

He doesn't bat an eye before looking up the part I'm asking for.
Granted the part might be discontinued but even then he does a nation wide search to find me what I want.
If he can't find it there he looks in the Vintage parts to see if it is there.

My dealership parts guy will look up anything I ask him to, even for my '82 FXR...He knows that most of the time I'm not gonna buy it from him but he likes to talk about and learn about the older stuff.
Most of the EVO stuff is obsolete and that's the reason that most dealers don't want to try to look it up.
Why they didn't want to mount a tire on an eve wheel is beyond my comprehension....The tire machine doesn't know the difference between an new wheel and an old wheel.
