Well...On a downshift the floorboard comes to mind!!!!
I can't know what may be on your bike nor the setup tho.

There's no interference, I have been all over this thing. Thanks tho.

And I used the HD brand Trans and Primary fluid at this oil change. Thinking about trying something different according to Dr. Hess and others recommendations, and also adjusting the clutch for verification if anything.

why didn't you adjust the clutch first thats what it sounds like to me if you can find neutral easy with the bike off but cant seen to get it when its running its your clutch. it either needs adjusted or its bad

That is exactly what I am finding with my bike, trying to pick up neutral is a real pain in the butt - whether the bike is running or not. Mentioned the "frustration" to a couple of people (not on the forums) and was told "that's just a Harley thing, don't worry about it."

Glad I looked at this post now.

That's my plan, and I only have been able to get one ride in so far this season on that bike. I paid the dealer last fall for a full 10k service when I bought it. Can't trust them for nothing I guess. That's what I'm here for. Thanks!

Adjust the clutch. Its not a normal thing for harleys not to go into neutral.

Thanks Lynn, when I get the bike up to Scott, I'll have him do it at the same time as the other work.

Tony I posted a way of adjusting your clutch that can't give wrong results ,you really should try it yourself. Anyone with one of these old gems should at least be able to adjust there clutch.
