Call S&S and see if they still make the adapter for the carb. I'm assuming you have the Series 'E'?

Check under the tank on the right side to see if the stock cruise control idler cable is still there. It is identifiable because there is two electrical wires attached to it.

If S&S doesn't make the adapter, you could always sell the carb and get a stock CV (with cable bracket) that went on an Electraglide of that vintage. They all had the cruise bracket whether the bike had cruise or not (mine did).

Here's a refurbished one on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-refur...933fba&vxp=mtr

Here's one off a 1990 touring that looks like it might also work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-Harley-...-/301606437721

Have you removed the left side frame cover? Is the stepper motor still there?

Some pics would be helpful.

I had an S&S "G" on my dresser and it has a cruise lever on it, so they do/did make them. I have epoxied two levers on two CV carbs that weren't supposed to have them. They being the CV 44MM and the CV 51mm on my 113" and both work like a charm.

Better yet, just very carefully remove every piece related to the cruise. Very carefully package it up and send it to the address I will send you. Pretend it never had cruise and life will be fine from there on out.

No, just playin with ya....

But..... if you can never get it working, give me a shout, I'd be interested in it.
