98' Ultra Classic Oil Temp Gauge question...
I have a Beede Oil Temp Gauge on my 98' Ultra Classic, that recently stopped working. I noticed the wire on the oil presure switch (where the oil temp gauge branches off of) and I fixed the broken wire.
There was all these washers on the threaded stud on the switch on the motor that the wire connects to. Gauge light turns back on and the switch will not work. When the wire that goes to the gauge is grounded it pegs to the right side of the gauge.
Any suggestions.....? Beede was really no help. They were saying a guy in CA years ago had these gauges special ordered for the Ultra Classics.
Do you keep the nuts on that stud only so tight so that the oil temp sensor can pop out to cause the needle to move?
Thanks all...
