It's spotless with 8k on the clock, but ive never had an Evo & as it's a private sale, little chance of a test ride. I always ride 2 up & someone told me that the bike would be too underpowered for what I want to do.
I could pay more & go newer, but the bike is so local & in mint condition. The wife fell in love with it. It's not a bargain by any means, so it's really about capabiliy. Can you offer advice?
Hello old chap, whereabouts are you? I've owned my 1990 Glide from new and courted my wife on it. I must admit to modifying it to 89" then installing an S&S 107" engine, but I agree with the others that you were advised wrong about a stock bike's capabilities. To some degree the later larger engines are only built to keep up with increasingly stringent noise/emissions regulations.

As for your planned purchase I suggest you take a close look at the tyres and budget to replace them, unless they are recently changed. It's quite possible it is on the original tyres, which is is not wise to ride on! As for buying it - you're in the Evo section - it's what we do, ride them, so don't hold back......
