Default I need a seat with a backrest

Just finished a 2100 mile trip and my back is not what it used to be. I have a Mustang seat on my 1995 Electra Glide and it the best seat for me. Unfortunatley it appears they do not make a seat for this evo model with a backrest.

Any suggestions, can a newer model seat be adapted? thanks

If I remember right my friend at Antler Creek Cycle Leathers told me about a drivers back rest that was an add on.
You might try giving him a call at 512-441-2427
His name is Geoff

Take a look at moving your bars away from you just a little, so you sit a bit less upright. A small adjustment may help, that is certainly what I found with my Glide.

On my '91 there were even fewer choices than your year. I went with the Mustang Pillowtop to sort of match the original style. But I have to say it's not comfortable at all for the long haul. Have resorted to using a sheepskin cover at those times. Which does really help. I am now at the point where I am going to send in all my original equipment (seat, rider backrest, and tourpak backrest) and have them refurbished. I found a place in MI that will do the whole lot for about $800. I will have just as much into that (maybe a bit more) that the mustang seat and tourpak backrest I bought. Which by the way would accept a riders backrest too, if I wanted one. I don't right now but as I get older I probably will.

So are you saying the Mustang seat has a backrest?

I am not sure if this will work for your model year but it is an interesting looking product.

Btw, the first link I posted is for the correct mustang back rest. It just attaches different than others for your year is all.

I could swear mustang makes a riders back rest for their seats. I dont think there is any restriction to the year of the seat. I could be wrong but i have seen rider back rests on mustang seats a lot. I have a stock harley seat and its plenty comfy for me and i also use a back rest. It is a life saver as i am almost 50....its harder and harder to keep correct posture without the back rest...i can sit in the saddle 15 hours with it tho...lol
