Personally, I think I'd be scared to get back on some of the hotrod bikes I used to ride.

My dowdy Evo suits me just fine.

Default We don't need no stinking in line 4s

If you want HP the big twin isn't the motor to fall in love with. If riding the best all around fun to spend time with then the big twin gets my vote!
that's not to say you can't get HP out of the big guy you just need lots of $$$

Asking how much H/P is like asking how much to spend on upgrades. You will never get, even close, the money back you put into either but it's how much fun you have with them installed!

Where did these twinkie riders come from?

High HP big inch evo's are cool. You don't need a motorcycle to begin with, so why is it even a topic worth discussing? As far as I'm concerned, 100/100 is a good number, but 120 is ideal for me.

IMHO Depends a lot on which frame and riding style.

Ive ridden a softail TC88(stock), Dyna TC96(stock), dyna TC96(current setup), and a friends dyna 107 fully worked heads, cams, throttle body, tune etc.

The stock 96 was happier at every rpm and riding situation. I felt it could be left alone as is and still been a fun bike. The fully worked 107 in a dyna was a handful and probably more than most riders need/want.

The TC88 was just too anemic for me, it was boring from the first time i let the clutch out.

Never rode an evo but i do love the sound of a carbd bike with the idle just loping along...

Having said all that, i would guess for most riders a lower limit of 80/80 and upper of 100/100 for most riders to be happy but thats a wide range i know...

I will be working mine to a 107 as funds allow

Yes, very. Fast bikes are fun. I'm not a cruiser like you Kees, and I don't mean that in a derogatory manner... I just like to ride the absolute **** out of my motorcycles, and the faster the better. Do I cruise a lot? Yeah... if I'm on a long distance run of course I don't ride ***** to the wall, but for a good little 200 mile ride on a Saturday, yeah I like to beat on it a little. Wheelies, banging gears, all that stuff.
