Default 98 evo noise question

Just thought I would ask here. Have a noise that goes up and down with throttle like a blower drive on a race motor . Clutch in or out. Parked or rolling.
But I can lean bike one way quiet it down. Lean it other way gets worse.
Am I thinking correct maybe inner primary bearing on trans ?Haven't heard one in a lot of years It's not eating a lifter or cam as the screens are clean as a whistle
Think I am wrong ??? Still riding it. But just might tear into it in morning

Mine has had a whine from the primary for 11,000 miles. My indie guy looked at it and said: "If it bothers you get louder pipes". Mine is only out on the highway from 45mph to infinity. I checked the primary and found nothing wrong. Good luck. I'd be interested to hear what if anything you find.

I'd say it's the muffler bearings ,,, You appear to be running some sort of True Duals, are you still running the stock, crappy plastic bearings - should be at least running stainless steel ... but the extra coin for titanium is well spent ... (Sorry - couldn't help myself ... ) I'd say go with your indie said - if you trust him. But if unsure I'd get a second opinion from another source - But make sure it's a trustworthy source, otherwise, someone might try to sell you titanium muffler bearings ...

It's something only an unscrupulous person would try to sell you - because it doesn't exist - but the joke has been around since I was in high school - which was the late 1800's ... LOL

That was my first thought. Even broke down and tossed a new shoe in there. It's something that's eating itself. Gotta go find it. The leaning the bike one way and it goes away. Other way makes it louder. So has me thinking inner prim bearing
Too much work not enuff time for my own hot rod

If it is an inner primary bearing, it won`t make the noise when the bike is stopped, in gear with the clutch lever pulled in.
