Good stuff here, and comical. Main objective is no more leaks, cam to wake me up, reliable riding. Not gonna deal with old ignition shittin out or no oil pressure cuz I did things half ***. If I don't notice increase in power,I will still sleep well, but I think there will be some. Cam and fixing the compression issues alone will do something. Four speed just started leaking fairly good two weeks ago,but we'll send that thread to the shovel boys when I get there..
Good advice on the crank, that's basically my plan.

Also should have my new tanks and liner in soon, my plan is to have that ready to go before I even pull the motor. Present tanks will go in storage for now I guess. Five gallon original style ordered, Northern liner.

I wouldn't.
Unless you are having a problem there is no need to separate the cases.
You can spin the rods to see if you have any binding or rough spots on the crank bearings but I doubt you will have any problems.

Just make sure you stuff some rags into the bore holes so that you don't end up having to take the cases apart so that you can get that nut or washer that you just dropped down there out...

Oh and it's best to put the rags in before you get the jugs all the way off.

Some stuff still missing here, I guess I'm on my own for the rest of the stuff.
