Great looking bike!!
Most likely as posted above your clutch cable needs to be adjusted.
And on the Evo, you can only get neutral from first gear - you can't go from second into neutral.
If I was you I'd try adjusting the cable first, I bet that's your problem. Here's a good how to.
If you want to be more precise, you could adjust the clutch first then the cable. Here's a good how to.

No really, that's an FLSTN and it looks pretty much stock except for the seat.
Harley manufactured them in '93, the Moo Glide (black and white) , '94, silver and white and '96 the one you see here.
It was discontinued for '97 when they came out with the Heritage Springer.

Yes, that's an FLSTN. Somebody added the passing lamps, but it's an FLSTN. I ought to know as I've been riding the FLSTN in my avatar for 22 years.
The '93 FLSTN was called the "Nostalgia" and sometimes unofficially the "cow-glide" for the Holstein patterned seats and bags. After '93, the name "Nostalgia" was quietly dropped due to a legal dispute over the name, and it was renamed the "Special" for the next three years. '96 was the last year of the "Special", as the Heritage Springer Softail replaced it in '97. The FLSTN reappeared for '05 as the "Deluxe".
At 10,000 miles, yours is barely broken in. Yes, Evos make a great amount of racket when they're happy. Over the many years and miles I've ridden mine, I've learned that the noisy motors seem to be the strong, long lasting ones. An EV-27 cam is not going to help, either, as it's known to be a "noisy" cam.
