you have the correct well nuts, they're not holding because the well nuts in this picture are backwards, the well nuts push into the holes from the outside, then the screw pulls the brass nut side squeezing the rubber holding itself in the hole.

[QUOTE=RK El Guapo;14349647]

I took a lot of pics of the old CV carb. I also pointed out the fork oil I am using for this(5 oz each leg), and I pointed to where I installed the VOES line. For some reason S&S sent me a manifold that had a VOES port on it, too. I don't know why I needed two ports, but maybe one of yall can explain it.

Are you sure about the 5 oz of oil per leg?. most I've seen are from 10-11.5 oz...

Yup. This is Progressive Monotube lowering shocks. 5oz because they are bigger in the fork tube AND the oil is not meant to provide volume density, but rather only to provide lubrication between the moving parts.

I'd also like to take this time to apologize to the online sales rep at St. Charles Harley. I made the mistake because it was not what I recognized and blamed you for it, instead of my own ignorance. If you make it to the Charlottesville area, I owe you a beer.

Schex3x, thanks for pitching in. It's truly appreciated.

Project looking good!

The extra port is because on S&S engines, their breather system has a vacuum line to the front head, it doesn't matter which port you use for the VOES, the vacuum signals are the same.

Do you know why they need a vacuum port for the front head??
I was recently thinking about doing an 89" stroker but I think I'll go with the 111" motor instead.

That's what these forums are all about. You showed him the error of his ways in a respectful manner. Great post sir.
