[QUOTE=RK El Guapo;14349647]I took a lot of pics of the old CV carb. I also pointed out the fork oil I am using for this(5 oz each leg), and I pointed to where I installed the VOES line. For some reason S&S sent me a manifold that had a VOES port on it, too. I don't know why I needed two ports, but maybe one of yall can explain it. [QUOTE]

Not sure what you are talking about with the 2 port thing.
On a CV the VOES connects to the carb and on the S&S it connects to the intake.

If you have 2 hoses coming off your voes one goes to a vacuum operated petcock.

Take a look at the pic. I'm pointing to where I ran my VOES hose. Now I'm wondering if I put it in the wrong spot.

If your directions told you to put it then then you are fine.
I know S&S did another design change in '12 so you might be right.
Mine is connected to the intake. (the one you capped off)

Double check your directions and then call S&S Tech if you're still unsure.

I just went and looked at mine and where you have yours hooked up I have a screw going down into the carb.

I'll keep these parts around in case **** happens and I need a backup.

I may sell the CV in the future. I may trash it. I do not know how well I will like the Super E, yet so I don't want to be penny wise and pound foolish. I may have a crap-ton of parts in my garage, but the ones I'm looking to shake are for dress-up. I typically do not let go of parts with real mechanical function.

The cv is a fine carburetor! Not as easy as the s&s and this is why I think people prefer the Viola offering.
Good call keeping it,
Tom

I wasn't being critical. Just having a little fun. I was attempting to illustrate how much more you will like the S&S over the CV. Once you have it running, you will get the humor. Or maybe not.

No worries and sorry for the lack of humor. I've been surrounded by teenage kids all day.
