Default 1998 Roadking Purchase

I really love the style of this bike and look of this bike, But dam this thing is a slug! I realize its still stock but i would have thought an evo would have a little more getty-up. It has 7,600 original miles with stock mufflers and stock air cleaner. any suggestions for a little more low cost pickup? would a good set of slip ons and and a more open A/C make much difference?

Its a Carb Model. The fellow I bought it from was 84 years young. He said it was time to go to 3 wheels..I talked with him for over two hours getting his rideing history, from Indians right thru the flatheads and shovels to this bike. He said hes looking for one of the flathead trikes now...

That's a sweet looking scooter right there! Nice. Not sure I'd want to live with a white seat, but it looks amazing on there.

Honestly, That LePera seat is like sitting on a box o rocks! It came with all of the original seating that is surprisingly just like new. However I dont care for the black chrome dots on the items

why bother? LOL because its a pig on pickup.... I was thinking a set of SE slip ons and SE a/c and a ev13 (based on what i read here) this winter. I will just live with it for now, as we will be running out of rideing weeks soon here in the northeast.. Before the dreaded W word.

First thing to check is the vacuum hose from carb to VOES switch, or the switch itself can go bad too, either will make it a dog. Slip ons (or a hole saw on the butt plugs in the stock mufflers) and a 45 low speed jet will help without swapping cams.

Thanks Gearhedd, I'll pull the carb off this weekend because i want to change the intake gaskets... Being original, I say its time... will also check the hose. I am getting some carb coughs on idle and giving it a little gas
