Default a deal has presented itself...some opinions needed

I have a 09 xr1200 with 1400 miles, pipe, fuel pak...bikes mint, took it on a trade. but it doesn't fit me well, and personally don't like it. I put it up for sale just recently.
about 10 min from me a guy has a 89 fxrs low rider that is 100% stock and mint...no leaks just serviced.
I have a 89 tour glide, so it would make a nice combo.........we are going to check out each others bikes tomorrow, I might squeeze some money out of him...probably like $500 or so.....

I know the xr is probably worth alittle more.......but im a evo carb kinda guy. is it worth the trade?

FXR's are doing nothing but going up in value. Not so for most Sporty's. I would grab the FXR if it is as nice as stated.

I wouldn't if I were you.
There are so many sporties for sale out there you will never get what KBB says it's worth.

Id swap a sportie for a FXR in a heartbeat!!!!!!

1200 sportsters are a dime a dozen in the NW. The FXR is a coveted ghost. A square deal would be to pay him a few bucks! No way that sportster is worth more on the street.

Sounds like fun! Good luck!

A Sportster XR1200 is pretty cool. But the mint FXR is cool too. If the KBB's say they are close to the same value, go for it.

Inspect the cases real close. 89's are know for some issues with cracking. If it hasn't by now, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
