I was also looking at Ride Wright. Anybody have any dealings with them?

Why not? I was looking at their spoke wheels in normal size 16" x 3.5"

Is it because of the high price?

.
I don't know why it would be any different, but for touring bikes it requires the bigger axle, newer sliders, newer rotor, and newer caliper. Your spacers would probably be different also. Go for it, kills two birds (brakes and wheels) at the same time.

IMHO, it is a played out look. Obviously you plan on keeping your bike a long time, and it seems like one of those HD things that will soon be passe. Maybe all those 26" fronts wore me out.

I am NOT going with a big wheel or fat spokes. I am going with something that looks mostly like stock except a more durable easier to care for finish and possibly tubeless. A nice deep chrome finish instead of the retarded cadmium plating us really the only thing Zi am looking for that is different than stock.

So played out look?

You said Ride Wright and I assumed you meant the fat spokes (whew).
I liked your idea of the newer wheel. They are much nicer that our older ones.

The only reason I mention Ride Wright is positive reviews whereas DNA apparently had some issues at one time.

I found some attractive pricing on eBay but sometimes you really get what you pay for.

I thought about dual disks but after reading thc's misadventure with that, no thanks.

With more time off in my new shitty position at work, I am able to do more stuff myself.

Previously, I didn't even have time to change my own oil which is ridiculous.

Is this too good to be true or are these crappy?

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...obalID=EBAY-US

It is an attractive price for a pair!
