Default 111" it is

I have been trying to decide between an 89" stroker and a 111" S&S.
A buddy of mine says he can get me a new S&S 111" for $4,525 + shipping.

I just can't pass that up!!!!!!!!!!

I think I would take a step back. That's probably about what your whole bike is worth. I guess another way to look at is, if you took $4,500 and spent it on something else on your bike or existing engine, what would you end up with? Would it be something you like better than that engine?

I just always look at things from many different angles since I don't part with money easily. I know huh. What the hell am I doing in free spending Evo Land? LOL

Eight bucks baby! That's what I am talking about!

I figure the 89" would cost about $3k+.
It would make about the same power and would be a little torquier.
This would be all I could do to the motor without doing something stupid like boring the cases.

The 111" is a square motor (same stoke and bore).
I can tweak this motor for even more should I decide to.

Man I could have bought another bike for what I already have in mine!!!!
I tried a lot of experiments. Some worked some failed.
My Heritage is still cheaper than any female I've had for the same amount of time!!!!!!

BTW I have a Baker 5 speed with case fixin' to go in this winter!!!!

Good price there, whats shipping, a hundred or two?

One thing about it, you store your 80"evo in the S&S box and can always revert if something comes up, my 20K mile perfect condition reman is tucked away nicely.

Yeah I had no intention of getting rid of my 80".
I hopped on it today to go to the store and it runs so good it has me questioning the 111".

Since you got the tranny squared away you'll be about $1000 bucks in clutch and incidentals. Not looking for a pissing match but the stock clutch ain't gonna handle that beast for long. Several oil changes and this and that add up awfully fast!
Good job on the motor choice.

I speak to a dude with a springer with a S&S 120 on it at our local bike meet up...it sounds bad A$$ and he says runs like it too. I believe him.

I wouldn't borrow money for mods like that but if you've got the loot and it won't change what you and your family eats for breakfast, hey, life is short and modding a bike is fun.

Keep us posted and take pics!
