Well, it's torn down and the big pieces are set out to go to the machine shop. Rear cylinder exhaust valve wasn't seated, which is pretty much what I expected to see. I don't see any damage on the pistons, but I think a new set may be called for anyway. I'll send them to the shop for an opinion.
I learned some things about my bike in the process. It has V-thunder EVL 3020 cam, Arias dome top pistons, and adjustable pushrods. I always knew it wasn't stock, but it's nice to know exactly what you have.
I also learned that whoever invented the spiro locks for the wrist pins should burn in hell.
Here's a pic of the offending valve, as well as a shot of a very sad looking scooter....

I guarantee she'll be happier than she's been in a while! Jugs and heads are dropped off with Curtis at Custom Cycle and Machine in Cedar Park. He's THE go-to guy for all the Indies around here. Teaches a local college course in his shop as well. Dude's good.
He'll bore the jugs and square up the bottom, and match a set of Wiseco 10:1 pistons. Valve job with new seats and seals as needed. When I pick it all up, he'll have me a Cometic top end gasket set and 4 S&S or Jim's lifters (whatever's more readily available).
While I wait, I have some cleaning and painting to do.

I've been remiss on the progress posts, although not much has happened.
THC came by and brought his handy Jim's cam bearing remover/installer tool and we yanked out a perfectly good Torrington B138 and replaced it with a new Koyo B138 inner cam bearing. The old one had about 70k on it, so might as well. He also left me with a new cam cover gasket that I owe him a couple of beers for. Works for me.
Amazon has been dropping off goodies. Rocker box tool that accommodates a torque wrench, Tappet block centering studs, and a set of bolt toppers. The PO was crazy about them, and even though they're a pain to take off, they do dress it up nice.
Machine shop should have my final number in the morning and start work, which should be finished pretty quick. We talked today and decided to bead blast the barrels and heads to natural. I might paint the barrels and go two tone on it. We'll see.
