Yea, Looks original. I like the way the cam and pinion journals look like. Still the original breather gear as well. How many miles? Good luck with the build.

I myself will be ripping the heads off this weekend and sending them back upstate. It's time.....

Has about 40 K miles. No turning back now ! It's a first for me. Done for the night, cam still in but I think I saw some wear on the first lobe and the roller for that lifter, I will post when I get there.
I have to create something to bolt the motor to and mount on my bench, some kind of stand.

How long did it take you to get to this point? Looks like you are well on your way!

I did a little yesterday, most of it today with a lot of screwing around in between.
Maybe about five hours or so.

Anyone know what the red dots are on the cam gear ?

Check these guys out. They got some good stuff for the evo still. I got my 83 cu in kit for 550 last year and and that is with all gaskets.

Yea, it's a stock HD cam. If you look on first lobe facing the inner cam bearing you'll probably see the letter N, it designates the grind.
