Default '92 Parts manual

I bought the HD service manual for my '92 FXLR and it seems sorely lacking in some key info...for example many of the bolts are just listed as "bolts" with no accompanying part numbers or dimensions as to what replacements would be. Do I need a parts manual to accompany the service manual? Is there a link to buy this from or do I have to order at the dealer.

In a word yes.

You can sometimes find them on e-bay.
The dealer is another source.

Thanks Texas. Still trying to get everything lined up to finally dig into installing my Baker Shifter Pawl.

Part number of the manual is 99450-92. Got mine off eBay.

Well...didn't order cause I procrastinated. Made some needed space in the garage today in prep for the project...had a spare 40 minutes and sun was beautiful so decided to take a spin down to my dealer. They happened to have one in stock. $45...nice savings. Wasn't expecting that being that there were several on eBay for around $90 bucks plus shipping anywhere from $12 to $4 in addition. Anyway thought I'd mention it for any other doofs like me that often assume the dealer is the most expensive option.

Well done! One of the things in Harley's favour is that the service books for their bikes, going back to the dawn of time, are still available as new parts. Strange that some sellers think they can get away with charging way over the odds.
