Unhappy oil temp gauge for dressers?

There is an awesome oil temp gauge that replaces that useless Air Temp in the batwing, made for TC's of course.

The problem is, the sender is supposed to go where Evo's have the oil feed line attachment (TC's just have that hole plugged in).

I tried to find a pipe fitting / adapter so I can install it instead of the drain plug - no luck so far...

Has anybody done this already?
should we put it instead of the drain plug, or through some splitter at the oil feed hole?

Don't bother. Lol. It's one of those worthless gauges if oil temp is that high to worry about your gonna know it long before a temp gauge. Most guys that have them just fret about it and buy every different oil and oil cooler they can. Only to see 15 degrees different . If it's not a monster motor don't even worry about it.

When the oil hits about 300F you lose pressure and the oil light comes on. That means you need to drop out of the parade and have a beer. Good indicator.

All oil guages are for wimps - best ignored. Owtlaw has covered what we need to know! Just be sure to carry the beer......

I think a temp gauge for the saddle bag with the beer would be useful.

My temp sender is the oil drain plug. It is a Bosch part, if I recall. Do a part search for one for a 86 FLHT.
